This gate leads into the yard behind the house that belongs to Window #5. This image was made by scanning the original slide and manipulating it in PhotoShop. Digital noise was added along with some subtle filtering. That image was shot onto black and white film and was then exposed onto a piece of watercolor paper that had been selectively painted with Liquid Light, a photographic emulsion. The paper was then developed like normal photograpic paper. The result was an image that reminded me of the historic photographs I saw while visiting Irkutsk. I added the text to complete the look. |
