Kolob Canyon
Once on the floor
of the canyon we could make good time on the level trail.
Timber Creek disappeared
to our right soon to be eaplced by LaVerkin Creek. We passed
a few campsites and then found a rock that looked lioke a great
place to take a break.
It was a popular break
spot used by everyone, including this green striped snake called
a Desert Racer. I can see how they got ther name. These little
guys are really fast. We weren't sure if we saw the same guy
on the way back. Maybe they have good speed and distance.
After our little distraction,
we got back to the trail and made our way around Gregory Butte
on the often now sandy trail.
